Introduction #

My Experience #

During my trip to Japan, I visited this restaurant once.

We came while we were waiting for the Train to Nikko on a time limit. This store sells Okonomiyaki and Yakiniku.

We are expected to cook the food ourselves. When we order, they will provide us with the ingredients and we will cook it ourselves. There are instructions on how to cook the food step by step.

We ordered the following:

  1. Pork Okonomiyaki
  2. Cheese Okonomiyaki
  3. Melon Soda

As the melon soda is a typical Fanta Soda, I will not be reviewing it.

The Cooking Process #

Cooking
Cooking the Okonomiyaki

The instructions are very clear and easy to follow and are as follows:

  1. Mix the ingredients together
  2. Oil the metal plate
  3. Pour the mixture onto the metal plate
  4. Cook 1 side of the mixture for 7 minutes
  5. Flip the mixture over
  6. Cook the other side of the mixture for 7 minutes

Please do remember to turn off the stove after you are done cooking. Otherwise, you the Okonomiyaki will be burnt.

It took us about 30 minutes before we are ready to dine which is perfect as we were under a tight deadline to finish dinner.

Pork Okonomiyaki #

Pork Okonomiyaki
Pork Okonomiyaki

The pork Okonomiyaki is a typical Okonomiyaki with pork meat. The pork meat is very tender and juicy. The Okonomiyaki is very soft and fluffy. The sauce is very sweet and savoury.

This is a solid 7/10.

Cheese Okonomiyaki #

Cheese Okonomiyaki

The Cheese Okonomiyaki is better than the Pork Okonomiyaki. I did not expect the flavour to turn out as cheesy as it did. The cheese is very creamy and savoury. The Okonomiyaki is very soft and fluffy.

This is a solid 8/10.

Conclusion #

This is a very good restaurant to visit if you are in Asakusa. The food is very good and the price is very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I will definitely visit this restaurant again if I am in Asakusa and when my cooking skills improve.
