My Experience #

We stayed at the hotel for 7 days. The daily house keeping really helped in keeping the room tidy and ensured that we have a fresh set of towels everyday. The facilities were great in general although there are some things that you will have to take note when you are here.

The room #

The room contains the following items:

  1. Television (With Chrome cast functions & Netflix if you have your own account)
  2. Hairdryer with strong winds and foldable handle
  3. Mini Fridge
  4. Slippers (Good quality with thick soles/padding)
  5. Safe to store valuables
  6. Teacups/Teabags in the room to enjoy

We used the television extensively to catch up on our favorite anime / youtube videos when we came back from our day trip.

The bed was on the harder side but it was still acceptable. The windows were floor to ceiling and would let light into the room every morning. If you do not want to be disturbed in your sleep, I would recommend drawing the curtains before you sleep.

We got a room with windows facing the train tracks. The noise level was acceptable and did not affect our rest time much.

The shower heater is very efficient and heats the water adequately. The toilet is larger than a typical small japanese toilet with the room for a sink and places to put towels.

The room was spacious, we were able to keep our luggages open while moving around the room. There was also a table with 2 chairs to sit and work on during our time there.

The Library Cafe (w coffee machine) #

The library cafe is a large area near the lobby of the hotel that has many seats and charging points. There are also many books available for hotel guests to borrow.

Personally, this is the place that we come to relax and start our slow day. We will usually get some breakfast and bring it here to enjoy it together with the Matcha Latte from the coffee machine.

The Matcha latte from the coffee machine tastes great and is a kick start to our day.

Laundry #

There are 3 wash + drying machines shared by the whole hotel. There are 3 different options to select when using the laundry machine. That we always choose is wash + dry for 600 yen. This option takes 2 hours in total and will automatically dry our clothes after it is done washing.

The washing machines supports payment by either coins or IC Card (ICOCA/PASMO/SUICA).

Sadly, we were never able to find empty machines at night and there would be a queue outside the laundry room waiting for the machines. However, in the morning, all of the machines are usually unused and we would relax at the library cafe while waiting for our clothes.

As there are only 3 washers shared among all the hotel guests, I would recommend doing your clothes washing in the morning.

During our 1st night, we even checked multiple times throughout the evening to see if there were slots for us to wash our clothes. Washing our clothes in the morning seems to be the more optimal choice. For those who only has time to wash their clothes at night, please remember to start queuing outside the laundry room early. Alternatively, there is a separate laundromat that is a 7 minutes walk away from the hotel. There may be more options over there.

Breakfast #

What we took for breakfast
Breakfast

The breakfast was 1650 yen per person. Based on our evaluation, it may not be worth the price.

The tastiest food that we tried was the Omelette.

We felt that the breakfast was not worth it as it was more of the western style than a Japanese style meal. If the breakfast contains some of the iconic stuff from Japan, it will be more enjoyable for us.

Location #

There are many amenities near the location of the hotel

  1. Bread Shop right beside the hotel
  2. Lawson across the road
  3. Mos Burger 5 mins away
  4. Bus stop near the hotel
  5. Toji station outside the hotel

The baked goods from the store was of the typical japanese bakery quality and highly recommended as an alternative to the hotel breakfast.

For anyone who visits the convenience store daily, this is a good place to stay.
